In a working breakfast ceremony held at the Emara Ole Sereni, I officially launched the Eliud Owalo Foundation, its strategic plan and unveiled the new board of trustees.
The Guest of Honour was H.E Henriette Geiger, EU Ambassador to Kenya.
The newly appointed Board of Trustees of the Foundation is a list of eminent persons. They include Chris Mensah; Justice Joyce Aluoch; Dr Esther Koimett; Dr Mary Okelo; Amb Raychelle Omamo; Eng. Jude Loveday; Amb Philip Thigo; Angela Wamola; Phylis Wakiaga; Prof. Hazel Miseda-Mumbo; Amb Peter Oginga Ogego; Amb. Michael Oyugi; Humphrey Kayange; Ronnie Owino; Dr Joseph ‘JJ’ Masiga and Nahashon ‘Lule’ Oluoch.
Governors in attendance included H.E. Anne Waiguru (Kirinyaga); H.E. Ken Lusaka (Bungoma) and H.E. Wilber Otichilo (Vihiga) and former Governors James Ongwae and Jack Ranguma.
Dignitaries present included Former CS Raphael Tuju; Kenya’s Permanent Representative to the UN-Habitat, Hon Susan Nakhumicha and SMACHS Founder and CEO Ms Charlene Ruto.
Also in attendance were PS’s Trade, Rebecca Ombam and PS Youth Affairs, Ismail Madey together with Chairmen, Managing Directors and CEOS of various parastatals.
