Eliud Owalo is a well-known, vastly-experienced and respected Economist, Management Consultant and Strategy Expert who previously served as the Deputy Chief of Staff responsible for Delivery and Efficiency in Government of the Republic of Kenya. Mr. Owalo has recently declared his intent to run for Presidency of the Republic of Kenya in the 2027 General Elections. He has also previously served as the Deputy Chief of Staff responsible for Performance and Delivery Management in Government as well as ICT Cabinet Secretary in the Government of the Republic of Kenya. Hitherto that he had a 23-year stint as the Managing Consultant of Eliud & Associates (E&A) Management Consultants, an International Management Consultancy and Training firm. He holds a BA Degree in Economics and Business Studies from Kenyatta University, an MBA Degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Nairobi and is currently a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Candidate in Strategic Management at the University of Nairobi.

Eliud is a Fellow of the Institute of Human Resource Management (FIHRM); Fellow of the Economists Society of Kenya (FESK); Member, Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA); Full Member, Kenya Institute of Management (KIM); Member of the Professional Trainers’ Association of Kenya (PTAK); and a Former Director/Council Member of the Kenya School of Government (KSG).

With 23 years of experience as a Consultant and Trainer, Eliud Owalo has been involved in a wide range of consultancy projects. His work includes the design of over 50 strategic plans, as well as expertise in Balanced Scorecard Performance Management, Job Evaluation, Workload Analysis, Work Re-design, Organizational Design and Development, Recruitment, Selection, and Placement, Skills Audit, Training Needs Assessment (TNA), Change Management Strategy, Cultural Change Management, and Business Plan Development.
