Agoro Sare Boys And Ngiya Girls Lift The Trophy In Eliud Owalo Foundation Basketball Cup

390 students, 26 teams, 14 Sponsors, 6 counties of Nyanza, 4 venues, ONE thrilling weekend! The numbers tell a compelling story of the Eliud Owalo Foundation BasketBall Tournament that saw Ngiya Girls and Agoro Sare Boys emerge the winners in highly contested matches over 2 days.
It was a harvest of awards. However, no participating schools and students went home empty handed. Apart from certificates of participation, medals, airtime vouchers, uniforms and trophies, all participating teams each received a cash prize of Ksh 20,000 and Ksh 7,500 worth of airtime. Winning teams each took home Ksh 50,000 shillings cash.
This was a well organized and superbly choreographed tournament that drew thousands of fans from Kisumu town and the various counties represented.
Due to great demand and the festival’s great success, we will make the tournament a yearly event. Congratulations to the winners and all participants!
